Q: Can I vote in the school Board election if I do not live in the city of Woodland Park?

A: Yes! If you live in the boundary of the school district you are eligible to vote in the School Board election.

A: Woodland Park, Divide, Florissant, Green Mountain Falls, Midland

Q: How do I know if I live in the school district boundary?

Q: Am I allowed to vote for a candidate who is running in a different precinct than where I live? 

A: Yes!  The requirement for living in a precinct only pertain to the candidates. All residents of the district can vote for all the open positions. 

Q: When can I expect my ballot to arrive?

A: The county clerk will automatically begin mailing ballots to active registered voters on October. 9th. A voter is considered active if they’ve voted in the most recent general elections or updated their address or other registration information.

Q: How can I vote?

A: There are 3 ways to cast your vote:

    1. Mail in your ballot. The Secretary of State recommends mailing them at least 8 days prior to November 7th to ensure they are received on time. 
    2. Drop off your ballot at a designated location by 7pm November 7th.
    3. Vote in person at a designated voter location by 7pm November 7th. Some locations may provide early in-person voting. 

Q: How do I know if my ballot was received?

A: Voters may sign up to track your ballot online. You’ll get notifications via email, text message or phone (you may choose) when your ballot is mailed, and when it has been received and accepted.

Q: Does my vote matter?

A: Yes! Every vote matters. In a county of our size, elections can be won or lost by a handful of votes. Make sure your voice is heard!

A: You should vote for the 3 candidates who’s positions and goals most closely align with your own. There are 3 open positions for the 2023 election and 5 total spots on the school board.
